Pyramid playing in ironman for the win!!

Ok, so me and my roommate emulord have decided to try and get as far as possible in ironman. We are going to build up a character base at 1k, and then start to bring some to 2k. Now this is obviously a FAR way off, but I think it could be possible, since the arts would be free, to build a base of like 10 characters at 6k and take morgoth. I'd just like to hear some thoughts on this.

I think it's definitely possible. I got to 4000ft during the Ironman competition about 3 years ago and it should be a lot easier if you party.
We hope to have the ironman server back up in not too distant future.

Ahem ... Actually, I have an ironman server up and running. :-) mangband.seymourfamily.org has two servers, one of which is ironman. :-)
