Server rollback

Due to a corruption with savefiles we had to restore the server from a backup made on September the 3'rd.
All affected characters have had their chance to report any unfortunate effects of this in the forums and we consider the case closed.
Should there be any questions, please send me an email or reply to the forum thread.

ThorGOLD: Level 5... We'll look into this later today.

ThorGOLD were created to hold 200k AU.
BUT the 200k were gained by selling stuff that is now back in ThorMag's shop, therefore I don't think it should be necessary to restore him.

Does this mean the gold bug is fixed?

Yes. The gold bug should be fixed (note that this rollback is unrelated to the gold bug).

About 50 savefiles were more recent than this and of those 12 had not yet been created on the 3'rd so they can not be recovered.

Poli: Level 10.
Wanderful: Level 1
Desta: Dead.
Pilo: Dead.
ThorGOLD: Level 5.
VDZ: Dead.
Thedanyes: Level 4.
Yak: Level 1.
Hamburger: Dead.
Punch: Level 2.
Cornelius: Dead.
Cram: Dead.

So, for some people this restore might have been a bad thing, for others it might have been a good thing, if you believe you have lost(or gained) too much and would like it corrected please send me (Warrior) a PM with the following details about your character:

Character name, exactly what is wrong, your password (you can change this via the C menu) and any other relevant information and we will deal with it as soon as possible.

I had Thal (level 16 half-orc warrior with maybe 20-30K worth of regular items, most notable a +9,+8 Shortsword of Orc Slaying) created and played only on the 4th. He didn't show up in the dump? I'm just curious, since I created him and played him at the same time as my friend played Cram.

As far as I can see the Thal savefile was a level 16 char who was killed by a black ogre at 500ft.
I can look further into it later today, but are you sure it's the same name?

black ogre, 500 feet. yup, sounds about right. Quizargleckmont dove in to save me with a scroll after the ogres got me and we played for about an hour after that. I'm not 100% sure on the items, but I've given him up for lost anyway (already have a High-Elf warrior at lvl 13 with better gear).
