You can still use ghost powers with roguelike keys. I think the key is P, which replaces peruse/browse when you are a ghost (and you won't be needing books as a ghost, in theory.)
I usually put macros on ctrl-i and ctrl-s, will this cause any conflict if later clients include these keymaps?

Re: v = Throw :)
Rods of light are great for taking out orcs, jellies, molds, even lice. Too bad trolls with 3 INT can't make a lot of use of rods... It MIGHT be easier to get a high level player to give you a mushroom of Unhealth - those make good throwing weapons too. And the reason we suggest you hit up a high le...

Haha! Now try it with oil flasks. They are nature's hand grenades.

Bravo! I made that one so that you'll cross 2 maps full of high level undead nasties, so congrats on the brave exploration.

Re: Can`t see the forest for the trees? [Quest]
Oh wow, that -50000 screenshot is cool! It's not mine, though. I think a DM made it. Be careful destructing while looking for my treasures. They're out in the open! A somewhat lower-risk strategy for finding that swamp would be to trace around the outside of the swampy areas until you find one that ...

Re: Can`t see the forest for the trees? [Quest]
Nice, I like those warnings! They add a lot to the atmosphere of the quest, I think.
Also, impressive map... have you happened across any of my hidden treasures? I'm not sure if they're all still intact, since "monsters picked them up" is the standard way of explaining their fate...

Re: Team Deathmatch Server
yeah, as soon as I saw "Scout" as a proposed class, I immediately thought of a MAngband Team Fortress.
I wonder if it's possible to restrict usage of certain items to one class only. Then it could truly be a Team Fortress clone :o

Re: LOL. My gear was found
Hahaha! I hid one as well, it's inscribed {A true dwarven lantern.}
I wonder if anyone's found it yet. I'd laugh if it were still there a year after I retired.

Re: Can`t see the forest for the trees? [Quest]
Nice find! I'm the one who left treasure at -58800. I later started inscribing things like {If you find this, post on the forum!} because I like to hear about people finding treasure I've left. I don't think the potions were inscribed, though, so thanks for the screenshot.

I saw something similar once when I recalled down to rescue someone who died. I used enlightenment and discovered a mysterious ? in the corner.

I think stealing was replaced with spikes because you could only steal from players, and so it was only ever used for griefing.

Re: Roguelike keys
I've been using roguelike commands ever since I started playing seriously and have had no major problems. The missing keys that immediately stand out are: # - Score list h - housing Ctrl+d - describe item and I just use \ to access them so it's not a big deal (as long as people know about \). If I r...
