Re: Roguelike keys
The biggest problem with roguelikes IMHO is that you need still to inscribe your macros using the standard commands, e.g. @u1 unstead of @Z1 for staffs, which is very counterintuitive. Other misc commands are still available through '\', though this isn't at all obvious to a new player.

... and it should be configurable by anyone (not just the party owner). As for color, that's a matter of personal taste, but I like the idea of purple. (Anyone ever hear of Bikeshed? ;P) It should be something that stands out.

Re: Improved Partying - opinions needed
As for electing a party leader, I kinda think it might be cool to have several options that you could choose from. Specifically.
Party Commands
(7) Specify party leader
The party leader is ___ :
- [A] The person with the most HP
- Player ____
- [C] No party leader (default)

Re: Party-Leader visible tag. And more options in "party menu"
Powers-that-be, how do you guys feel about the Party leader, @P on WoR scrolls, and cheap scrolls of life? I'd be inclined to implement these types of changes as a DM configurable option via the Mangband.cfg file. That would allow a server to run primarily as a party server and you wouldn't have to...

Re: Party-Leader visible tag. And more options in "party menu"
This proposal is to make a new option toggle in the options menu that allows you to display party leader or not. I mean display that fine gold targetting ring we already have around the @ that leads the party (usually everyone follows 1 character in a party, preferable a warrior or paladin due to h...

Re: Colorized messages & improved chatting
It's been a while so I don't completely remember how the messages worked, but IIRC they helped make talking more clear as a player's message would correlate with their in-game color. Additionally, I seem to recall thinking that certain game messages such as "Foo was killed by a plasma hound" being ...

Colorized messages & improved chatting
Hello guys, it's been a while! Hope you've been doing well the past 5 or 6 years. :) So, I played a bit this last weekend and had a lot of fun, but was left feeling that the messages and chatting system could possibly use a little sprucing up. 1. So, there's a feature of TomeNet that I really liked ...
