Ive noticed that a few hearty souls have stopped by the Tinman server to give it a spin. I encourage y'all to post and thoughts or impressions!

Yeah, the post 3.0 changes seem to be focused largely on the mage side. For the priest books, the changes seem mainly to be just removing prayers for Paladins.

In general, it seems like the idea was to get each class back to its roots.

Jug sorted out the meta code, and got the Tinman server showing up on the meta.

Hats off to Fx71, who pushed an HE warrior down to 1k, got sorted, and did his dive down to 2k. He died at 1950, after passing by some down-stairs, and opted instead to give Kavlax one more try ...

For some reason, I'm not showing up on the meta.

In the meantime, feel free to hit Q at the server list when you first fire up your client, and manually connect to ironmangband.dyndns.biz.

Wow, that sounds like it went like butter, PW! And getting the One Ring from Morg - nice! Y'know, I had never thought of the idea of fighting morgoth in the corner of the map, to limit the room - good thinking!

So, the one big question is, do you find the Ring ... precious?

I wonder what you would need to fight morg without GoI?

This is more than an academic question, since we do technically need to remove GoI from the game at some point (vanilla no longer uses it).

How bad is the corrupted save? Is it just the tail end, or is the whole thing pretty toasted?

Oh, by the way, if you happen to have a character still alive on my old ironman server, your savefile is still present, and will work fine. Feel free to dive back in with your char Tinman-style
