Re: Need revive at 6250" (RESOLVED)

There's no such thing as luck against the Q. Only death and more death unless the Q is detected properly and tricked into dying ;)

Re: LVL 1 party dive - Sunday-diving (18th of July)

We started out with 2 people pondering to cancel. Then another arrived, and we started. 2 mages and a priest. The mages too turns dying till 1 rerolled a warrior, hehe. Another warrior joined in, and we rocked till about 750 feet. Then the mage left, and we were smacked down. Finally ending at 900 f...

LVL 1 party dive - Sunday-diving (18th of July)

Hello everyone. Been a long time since we've had a big serious party. I'd like to start a lvl 1 diving party this week (Sunday 18th of July) at 5 PM Central European time (Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Paris, Oslo etc. Check here to find your timezone in comparison http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ I ...

Re: Schizophrenic Morgoth?

You need to play more MANGBAND! :) Sorry couldn't help commenting. I've never seen Morgoth summon anything other than ancient D's. And that time luckily I destructed the very next turn anyway. BUT I've only fought him on "Angband" or in a bunch of runes where he cannot summon. Will be alot harder if...

Lacking low/basic resists = SPLATTER! Up to 1600 damage. Been there, done that. Conclusion... You need your lows in order to dive deep.

Re: Strategy against bad moves

http://www.mangband.org/Main/HighScoreChart?v=1.1.0?dump=Elderon-5028173469 I'd like to comment several things here: - Having such an incredible bow and not using it is a shame. Gorlim would've crumbled to dust in seconds with standard arrows +9+9. The bow deals on average (1d4+9 +15) = 26.5 multipl...

Lagging and deep

I knew I was deep, but I didn't know I was lagging. I figured I would clear the vault. Teleported Uriel away without any lagging at all. Then I had a huge lag-spike and was disconnected. Then I got back in, made holes in the wall for a drakolisk and Mouth of Sauron to follow me into the area on the ...

Re: Not all deathscreens shown on website

Ok. Don't worry about it then :)

I just think it was my 3rd win, so I thought it was enabled then.

But don't waste time on it, please :) - I wasn't aware it required searching logs and was gonna be tough.

Not all deathscreens shown on website

My *winning* elf ZalRond doesn't have a deathscreen :(

I'd love to know how long (total playtime) it took me to defeat Morgoth with him. My only "king"

Re: Long live Google

How about turning off the Google ctrl clicky function? It's pretty simple... press ctrl twice. Go into options menu. uncheck the little box about clicking ctrl twice. Dive happily and stay alive :)
