Improve Breath for Dsms

 Right now, the breath ability on dsms isn't really effective.  Sure, its awesome for a level 20 character... but level 20 characters don't usually have dsms;
For example, very few, usually level 50, people have balance dsms. However, the breath damage is only 250! Thats only 82 vs. players.  Plus, it takes a very long time to charge. Perhaps something more like 500 damage/half charge time?

See, I have no idea what to do about this. I think that in Vanilla Angband, DSMs were supposed to be useful until you could find artifact armor, at which point their perceived power would be low enough to force you to use the artifacts.

Unfortunately we don't have enough artifacts to go around, and adding more will make the existing ones less "special". We can't add more ego-items or randarts without making existing artifacts more powerful. They must still retain their relative worth and usefulness to the rest of the items. So another system is being developed, or so I hear, but I'll let you wait and find out more about it when it comes out :) I know I'm dying to see it.

If I do what you're asking, I run the risk of lessening the value of higher artifact armors, and I'm not just talking about monetary value. And.. here's the big problem. It would be cheesy in a way to give everyone a free upgrade. If I were to improve DSM's, you'd all have to lose the ones you have so you didn't get automatic free stuff. And no, I can't have a second improved version that you find while keeping your existing one. So you see... there's more to it than it looks to adding extra powers to meet the demands of ever-more-powerful players.

Oh.. here we go, some flame material for you Maeg! If you're in need of tougher armor at your level, when you own multiple Balance and Power DSM's, perhaps what you really need is better battle tactics. (ha, ha, ha) The RNG is guaranteed to cause freak unavoidable accidents anytime, or your money back. Make that double, no triple! Muahahaha!!

    What "Multiple Power and Balance DSMS"? I only have a couple balance and no power;
