MAngband

Emulord told me about how you used to have a server tinman, where it was just mangband with dwarven halls and no word of recall. I think it would be pretty sweet if we could get that up again. It would be fun to play a winable ironman-like game.

Fink was working on designing a tinman variant, but never got it to the coded state. I don't think anyone else did either...

I don't really see the point of a tinman server... it's basically a normal server where all chars are brave and recall scrolls don't work, but when you want to go back to town you still can climb all your way up (or down) to the closest town.

I'd play it. Before I knew what recall did, I would always play Tinman. Except without the cool towns every 1000ft.
