Tweak Satisfy Hunger Spell

Post by Kom » Sun 19.10.2008, 01:43

This was brought about by my exploring the overworld...
I have a tendency to cast satisfy hunger in town, where as we all know, you don't ever become hungrier. This is bad, because outside of town, the instant I quaff a potion, I become gorged. This is bad, as if I wasn't paying attention, i might have died by quaffing too much during a fight, not to mention the slow penalty you get for being gorged is bad when you're fighting something. My idea was that the satisfy hunger spell could set the players hunger to the midpoint within the 'full' range to prevent this from happening more.

mages have learned a great strategy to counter this: They bring pots of salt water with them. They are going to get gorged cus they have to spam mana storm and mana pots, so they quaff salt water so that they don't get gorged.
Anything worth being done, is worth being overdone.

Still doesn't sound like the most effective or useful measure to me...

I don't see the point... if you become gorged, you just cast satisfy hunger again.

If i'm in a major fight i don't want to alternate between quaffing potions and casting satisfy hunger... the spell costs enough sp as it is.
