MAngband

 Most mangband players do not use the "roguelike keys"  option.  To permanently change that, they must adjust an prf file, which is hard for some new players.  How hard would it be to set the default for roguelike options to "Off"? Thanks

Heh, editing a file with a standard text-editor doesn't seem too complicated if you ask me. Besides, there are lots of ppl in the MAngband world to ask if you need help with stuff like that, or you could actually read some of the readme files =)

Anyway, I think it IS possible to just switch it 'off' in the game... you just have to save the settings afterwards, right?  ???

Yes, it's entirely possible to switch it off in the game.  It's the first item on the first menu list off of the "=" command ( those still on roguelike will probably have to type "\=".

No, that's not saved.  You'd have to do it every time.
