Perhaps wishlist isn't quite the right place for this as I don't really _wish_ for it but...

I noticed just now after logging on that there was a battle scarred veteran inside the 8 and a bunch of newbie equipment inside too. This suggests some poor newbie logged in and got killed immediately unable to defend themselves from the bsv. I wonder if the 8 should be "safe" from townies - say if they couldn't go inside? Or maybe if they can't proceed within a certain distance of the 8 even?
I know it'd be pretty stink starting in a game like this then getting killed within 2 seconds where you start without actually having done anything yet.

This has happened on my own servers in the past.

This really needs to be looked into, as I'm quite sure we won't be getting new players any time soon if they don't live more than 5 turns.

I've also noticed that the tavern is inexcusably understaffed.
