Why don't we have a high score list that scores living players?  I mean obviously the game already calulates our scores cuz we can see our own score in relation to the other high scores (if it's high enough).  Make it realy simple even and only display scores as of your last logout so it doesn't have to continuously update scores as people play but only at the end of a session.  Seems like it would be a pretty simple file manipulation task to me..

being worked on.  It'll be a ladder, though, not a score list, and it probably won't be directly in the game, because the client is just too clumsy to work with, and won't allow things like sort, etc.

Any idea about how often it'll update?  Realtime, every hour, every day, etc?

Could you increase the size of the current in-game score list to show 40 or 50 places? Since we get a lot of new players that reach level 40 or so, some of them would have a chance to be on it for a while. Right now, one needs to be high 40's or 50 to get on it.
