MAngband

Hi,

I'm not really sure about this, because it happened rather fast, but I think I've seen two (2!) Morgoth's...
I tested around with my home server and at a time I saw two dark P's next to me, looked like Morgoth is able to summon himself. It was just a short moment, died quite fast...
Most possibly I need to debug myself, but if Morgoth is able to summon unkilled uniques, maybe it is even possible he can summon himself?

If not, I should take a break from mangband ....

Sorry couldn't help commenting. I've never seen Morgoth summon anything other than ancient D's. And that time luckily I destructed the very next turn anyway. BUT I've only fought him on "Angband" or in a bunch of runes where he cannot summon. Will be alot harder if he summons around himself like in the new Angband-code. Definately almost a show's over for all MAngband mages unless they melee him like ASCII, heh.

Morgoth and Atlas look QUITE similar. They both tunnel through walls, are Ps, and are similar dark colors. Morgoth is almost black. Atlas is a little lighter. This is PROBABLY what happened.

This was my first thought, too. But the unique list told me that Atlas was dead... and not to forget, the log said nothing about Atlas, only Morgoth.

Did Morgoth summon himself or did the game generate two Morgoths on the level? I doubt on the former, but the latter was a known bug in old MAngband code.

It looked like M summoned himself. I've been in a permawall vault, so a second M is not so likely... though ... it is a possibility.
