Reducing charisma allows selling of houses for *more* gold

I purchased a house for all my new stuff, purposely putting on an Ammy of Charisma +6 to buy the house at a cheaper price. I went to sell my old smaller house and out of curiosity took the amulet off to see how much less it sold for; to my surprise it actually sold for more! Perhaps this is intended behavior, but I'm assuming not... In the mean time I think I will be collecting Potions of Ugliness.
