The resistance screen

Can one of you guru's break down the resistance screen for me? It's obviously important but I just don't get it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

4 squares with + and .
1 square with numbers and .

On the left side of the + squares, you see the short words for each resistance (Acid, Elec, Pois, etc...)
On the bottom and top you see letters a-l and @, these are your armor (and @ is what you have as basic resistance)
+ marks that this peice of armor gives that resistance

The last square is what stat bonus your equipment gives.

cool, i understand that. The abcdefghijkl is what's confusing me. So i should basically ignore the lettering and worry about the armor symbols?

the letter is the inventory slot you are wearing an item. so either the "icon" or the letter should give you the information which item gives you which resistance.

You can alsocheck the items abilities with CTRL + D.

Lastly only KNOWN resistances will show up in the list . So sometimes an *ID* is necessary to get to know all abilities.

Like allready said the Letters are the same as the Letters at your Equipmentwindow.
The Symbols below the Letters show up if you wear that Item and they are the same as when you see the Item at the Bottom.
If a * (Star) shows up you have immunity.
At the Status Area the dark Letters for sustained Stats and a yellow 18/30 near 18/70 displays the actually drained Status 18/30 and how it is normally 18/70.
Resists do not Stack. So only at the Statusarea and at the Area with extrablows/speed/might double Symbos/Letters have a Sense.
If you get 18/*** instead of 18/210 you have the Status maxxed out. You can check if you can enlarge another Stat. But i think that has a while till you need it. =)
