MAngband

Hey everyone, new player here.  Heard about it from a /vg/ subforum, and since I've been playing Slash'Em for ages, the prospective of a multiplayer Slash'Em sounds amazing.  I know the servers aren't that populated at the moment, so how about we get a thread of when the active players play, a timezone would be good too plus days of the week, and which server.  Since it'd be rude to start a thread like this and not fill it out myself, some might still think it's rude...

Server: mangband.org
Time [Summer]: 4 P.M. - 2 A.M. E.D.T.
Time [School]: 6 P.M. - 10 P.M. E.D.T.
Days [Summer]: Any day of the week during summer
Days [School]: F/Sa/Su

You'll find that, during the summer (our traditional slow period) that most playing takes place in the evenings, U.S. time, with a smattering of users throughout the day. However, there is a contingent of European players now and then, who keep their own kooky hours (oddly, some of them also seem to keep western-US time, heh).

Pardon my interruption, but on which site did you hear about this? I always like to know these things, call it an obsession or whatever!  :)

I don't have a lot of time to play. I do administer the boards but significant uninterrupted chunks of time are difficult to come by. (For now.)

Actually, this isn't a bad idea.

Of course I can't and won't won't always play every day and sometimes it might be weeks without playing, depending on all the factors involved in life

Server: all mangband servers.
Typically all weekdays between 4 P.M. and 11 P.M GMT+1.
Weekends 24/7 in theory


It's 1 P.M. now.

I'm one of those european players who sometimes seem to keep US time... But that's changing! Still a student but this semester I'm gonna get it right!

Oh boy. I'd be careful of spending significant amounts of time in the *chan sites after all the news coverage about "anonymous" ("anonymous: we are legion", and in it for teh lulz, right?) being an evil terrorist hacker group out to slit throats and wreck lives.
