MAngband

Hey guys, been a while. Just started up MAngband again to show my girlfriend, who played MUDs back in the day(!) and was happy to see a client update, but unfortunately, when I attempt to use the mangclient.exe I get the normal window layout.. but no text. I tried changing fonts, no dice there.

Not sure what to do about this. I'm running Windows XP, used the mangband-client-setup-110.exe to install, figured it would be pretty foolproof but I appear to have done something wrong. mangclient-sdl.exe works fine, but I find the layout to be not to my liking after being used to the multi-window format and the ability to change font sizes independently. Any thoughts?

With XP, each time I have to update the client for MAngband or any MAngband based variant, I need to reboot my comp. But I guess you probably tried that...

Yes, rebooting might help. No, not each and every update shall cause it, only the 0.7.2->1.1.0 one, and only if you runned an older client in the same session.

I hope you give it another try Murdin, rebooting usually fixes all the problems.

That did fix it, looks like, or I had another issue that's no longer around. Thanks, sorry for not doing the obvious thing sooner, heh.
