Dissertation on the game modality

Post by ApreTon » Wed 15.02.2006, 22:06

In these last days, many problem had appear about players killer. I'd create this topic to discuss about that.

Although the rules of the game allow it, solidarity has governed during long time in this game to such point to make it cooperative.

For this reason I create advisable to establish new rules so that the game acquires the size and challenge that raises.

We do not return to age of the barbarism.  Let us transfer our cultural evolution to the game.

Not to put words into Crimson's mouth, but you've really got it quite easier than you know.

If I remember right...and here's where the disclaimer comes into play, I *believe* Crimson said something along the lines of:

"It's far too easy to recover from death here."

As long as there are ways to die here, there will be ways to kill players...if not by direct one-on-one combat, then sneaky, tricky ways.

Death is a part of life, both in the game and real life.

Besides...good lord, we killed one person's characters.  Ghost killed one of them, killed the other.  Y'all make it sound like we single handedly killed 85% of the population.

Juan, it's not only about your (admittedly disgustingly unjustified) PKing, but also about the chain of trouble we experienced from Kull and his many spin-off characters. The community has grown and matured into something a bit more friendly and supportive than what I gather it was earlier, and frankly, we like it that way.

You're focusing on the wrong part of my post.

Crimson's not really a big fan of life after death.  Player or monster kills, it really doesn't matter.

Player killers just tend to speed the process along a bit.
