No wonder

Post by Warrior » Mon 13.02.2006, 02:57

No wonder Zaphod is doing so well, I just noticed his height/weight, 85/235 - I'm a giant dunadan!
In about 30 rolls only one was taller but he was skinny and useless, the avg seemed like 78/180.
Anyone else found unusual things about their stats?

After not thinking about these matters for a while I downloaded vanilla 3.05 a few days ago, I haven't really played much but it's been fun to sit and roll the stats. I've got no autoroller so I just hit r.

Anyway, this has allowed me to do some more research on this very interesting topic (...) and in close to 500 rolls only one guy was heavier than me.
My height is well above average but I've seen them as tall  as 95. But then they're often just skin and bones weighing a mere 180 or so.

Another thing I've noticed is that also have the max age of dunadans, 70.

Maybe the often ignored character screen is the answer to some of the RNG's apparent randomness?

Can't you imagine the RNG sitting there in his office, looking at the characters, "Hm, Billsey... such an average character, death, death and more death for him"...

"OOh, but I like this one, max age, big and fat, he's even got 21 Social Class, I'm gonna treat this guy real well!"
