Hi, even though this doesn't involve me, I feel obligated to tell
everyone on the list about it. Today, Warrior dove a ghost down to 4k,
somehow managed to make it back up, ressurected, gave the resurected char a
potion of enlightenment, and recalled back to 4000 feet. So he drank
the potion of enlightenment, and saw -- a GCV. (Greater Checkerboard Vault).
Currently Warrior, Gorth, and Conn are trying to go down there and clean it
out. I'll keep you guys updated on what happens.

Dive update : They have met at 2100 feet and are starting to descend...
These mighty adventureres must have incredibly courage (or stupidity) to
descend in the face of such danger... deeper... deeper...

You guys are ***INSANE***!!! Congrats, warrior, that fscking RULES!!! I
think this means I'm gonna have to come on and see if I can make it that
deep... can we say 'powerdive'??? Not that @ that point I'd be AT ALL
useful... but... I have never been able to resist a GCV before... not that
I'd be able to get that deep anyways... of course I do have that rogue
that dove to 6350 and back... so he could just recall there ;P

Update:
Gorth has now joined our heroes once again, and they, joined by Tanix,
the lvl 27 half-troll mage, are fighting plasma hounds on 3450 feet.
The dive continues...

Further update : our band of heroes arrived at 4000 feet, and enountered
"The Mouth of Sauron", before reaching the GCV. They decided they could take him.
They were wrong. Everyone died except for Gorth, who managed to teleport away.
He is currently batteling chaos hounds... things are not looking very good for
Gorth, Warrior, Conn, and Tanix. Gorth is complaining of severe lag, and receiving
buffer dumps...

Update -- the server crashed, after Gorth got Warriors stuff. It appears
Conn's stuff is lost. However, things could be much worse. So ends the
4k vault adventure.

What can I say, we ruled the fading sun and the dark halls of Morgoth until
some mouthy little bitch "p" came up behind up...
We didn't decide to take down this p.
"The Mouth of Sauron" just attacked us !
I think Conn was sabotaging the dive. I saw him running around on the level
before me and the other guys had a chance to stop him.
Evil lives...
Warrior is back to lv34 and will continue roaming around 50ft.
Tanix will probably get a cold.
Conn will continue diving, probably ending up playing regulary around 3500
ft.
Mr. Too Powerful will keep on saying " We didn't think he was that rough",
or "He would've been a nice kill"

ok guys, first of all i am NOT Mr. Too Powerful, otherwise we would hve
been able to take the MOUTH, but other than that i completely agree with
Warriors statements, conn wsa visibly tryig to sabotage our dive. But i
will take the blame for thinking that we could kill the mouth, i mean ihad
gone thru 4 rounds with him the first time i fought him and not had to
heal, so i didnt know that he did 3-400 dam with mnabolt 1 out of 2 times,
oh well. enough apologies, if the server hadnt crashed we would have
clear that GCV, it was wimpy, i almost started it myself while conn was
teleporting into greater storm wyrms, silly conn:) tele other.

First of all, i didnt try to sabotage the dive, and i didnt sabotage it.
I knew where the monsters were, and i was just getting a deep priest book
when you two got anal about it, so I went back.
Second.. yeah, i should have tele'd it. But i teleported self and landed
next to the Mouth. The point is.. i was unlucky.. oh well, nothing is 100%
safe.
But....... Trying to kill the mouth was the most stupidest thing we could
ever do. hmmm.... i wonder who the sabotager really was, because we would
have taken the GCV by now. I can still hear Gorth saying something.. what
was it you said about nice kill blabla uniquelist or something... damn cant
remember.
