A real heartwarmer that happened to me today...
"You cruelly stab the sleeping memory moss."

Another interesting thing.. I actually performed a scene from The Angband Comic!  I walked into a vault, and just beyond the door to a chamber was a elf skeleton.  Somehow, looking at it made me cast detect creatures again.. seeing a death mold just behind the skeleton....
(This with an High-Elf rogue for whom a death mold = instadeath)

This one was pretty fjnny..
*I walked in a room, seeing a black h.  No problem, it's one of those weak dark elves.. NETHER BALL!! Summon!
I don't res nether! Heal! I didn't know there was such a monster as Eol the Dark elf.. must be a new one.. *

He dropped.. a Black Mages Cape of Protection
seems to me like something he'd be wearing.

Yup the new Angband 3.0.3 monsters include uniques. I really like them. So you have the stealth to sneak up on memory mosses? That's nice! Can you sneak up on Magic Mushroom Patches, though? That would be the real ninja factor.

Being the DM and all, I have generated a lot of really nice excellents based on the new base items I put in last night. Clergy Hat of Wisdom, Mage's Hat of Intelligence, White Mage's Cape of the Teleri, Black Mage's Cape of Resistance, Desert Helm of Beauty, the list goes on! Man, there's some nice stuff to be had. Pleasant to the eyes, too!

Humor for me... I was in a vault at some stupid depth like 4600 ft, and I found... a SLIME MOLD! Some prize! Blargh!! To borrow from Calvin & Hobbes, that's like winning 10 cents in the lottery.

ehh.. those items aren't really that good.  Chr isn't really a factor at all in decisions I make about items for my character, and wisdom items aren't much use except to priests/paladins.. which, frankly, suck right now.
