My character Zaphod has had a long and prosperous life at the mangband.org server now for more than a year. I have amassed large piles of goods and since I'm the kind who gets attatched to my wares I have for the most part kept everything behind closed doors. In houses.
While wandering around in the wilderness one late night, I cut my way through the trees and found a rather large house that I had aquired, used and abandoned many many months ago. I explored the whole area, northeast of town at -300 and noticed that there were several other relatively large and unowned houses in the neighbourhood.
The forest was dense, and full of twisting vines and barbed bushes, in the blackness of the night I heard strange noises and decided it was better to come back and check it out in daylight the very next morning.
When I returned the morning after I saw that it was as expected, thousands and thousands of trees all over the area. I muttered under my breath, damnit, thats one good location wasted.
The passing days I again forgot about the whole thing... Nothing happened. But one day I thought to myself, I'm a big strong Warrior, I'll cut down all the trees, it's good workout!
Well, it took me a few hours but eventually all the trees were gone. I looked around with a content smile. But... Whats this? Millions and millions of monsters started to spawn on the level, oh no! I've spent 20 millions on a level that's gonna cost me another 20 million in arrows, to kill all the damn monsters!
Again, I forgot about the whole thing. Well, they were some nice houses, I'm sure I can just sell them or something one day.
Couple of days later I ran into fink mage and falx and we started a partnership:
Falx, Fink, and Zaphod Planet Paving Services - Yesterday's Tommorow, Today!"(TM)

Full of ourselves and fueled by a mad desire to show Morgoth what real men can do when they put their heads together, we began the crazy project described and pictured in http://www.mangband.org/cgi-bin/yabb/Ya ... 45;start=1
After a few hours we had a result to our liking.
After many many more hours I had filled all the houses something that resulted in a relatively large number of smaller houses now suddenly being empty, for the first time in ages!
So...
The following houses has now been sold and can be acquired by walking backwards into the door:
7x2, In Town, 17942
3x2, In Town. 9932
6x3, In Town 31719
4x2, In Town. 12246
5x2, South of Town. 11970
3x5, South of Town. 21226
6x3, South of Town. 24831
3x5, South of Town. 19531
2x4, South of Town. 9177
6x5, South of Town. 54841
More houses will be available later this week, once I've decided which of the remaining houses to keep.

Re: Houses for sale.
Update:
10x5, Southeast of town 121841
11x7, Southwest of town, 377291
9x5, Southwest of town, 100298
This means I've sold 13 (15 actually) houses with an average of almost 24 spaces.
I still have 19 houses, 3 houses in town, (2 small and one large), 1 house east of town, one house west of town, 5 houses south of town and 9 houses in my paved wilderness levels at -300 and -550. 3 of which are small and empty.
I might, though I doubt it, sell the 3 smallish houses south of town, in case of a sudden explosion of players. They're located close to my main house and I don't see any point in selling them now.
