MAngband

Zaphod has announced that this weekend he will again face his arch nemesis Morgoth, Lord of Darkness, in his second recent bid to pick up a crown. Come join the show this weekend, and wish him luck.

Win or Lose, closely following that will be a server reset of the Mangband.org instance, so I can start incorporating a lot of changes, bugfixes, and upgrades to the Mangband realm. Noting this, you should finish your business up on the server quickly.

Belthronding is what really cracked open the possibilities with this character (outside of the obvious Bladeturner, heh), helping me keep my dex high in unexpected ways. The real battle with this character was keeping stats high so I could heft a heavy weapon and get my swings (ie, the usual problem with mages heh). Gonder was just a complete unexpected bonus

And yeah, I know I have a gajillion redundant res's - at this point, I was just tossing on high + to AC items. Oddly, I never did find any BoS +10 with this char, and, as you can see, never found any Istari +3. And, what really irked me, was that I didnt find one RoS+15 with this guy. Kooky. I did, tho, find 3 pdsm's, so no complaints on that front. For some reason, his elven-glove finding was thin, as well as numenor. I think this is because, compared to my last char, I spent much less time above 2k, where those items seem to show up pretty frequently.

I accually had a ring of damage +20, but when Zaph took out Morgy he let me hold a RoS +10 for the last hours before resetting. BoS +7, found them at 200ft when I was lvl 5 or something - this myst be my luckiest found ever, and helped a lot ^^

Tried to beat down gothmog in too much a hurry, hit a 3, teled straight into hounds.
