I'm not quite sure if this is the right place to post about a bug, but I wanted to ask:
For some reason, anything I sell to a shop merchant will only give me 0 gold. Was this intentional, or is this a bug?
Bug?
Re: Bug?
Nevermind. Please disregard this post. I just figured out it can be changed (on player birth) in Window > Term Options > Birth (difficulty) Options > Items always sell for 0 gold set to "no"
Just took me a while to figure out >.<

Re: Bug?
Yes, this is a new birth option from Vanilla. When you select that option, items are sold for 0 gold, though you can still sell unidentified items to get the flavor identified. To compensate, gold piles you find in the dungeon are multiplied by a factor of five. This has been added to lower the tediousness of looting useless items to get cash.
Re: Bug?
Nooooo! I loved the metagame of shop selling.
Having one player static a lever of a cleared vault while the other player WoRs back and forth vendortrashing everything.
5x gold drops are OP. Gold will become even more meaningless at even lower levels. Expect people to just leave {excellent}s in 8, because WHY NOT? Everyone becomes a twink, society collapses.
