This weekend, my server will be up to test the ironman mode. I've not played ironman PWMAngband a lot before and, with the new town system, I thought it would be an opportunity to do so.
My first thoughts:
- with the first town at 750ft, it's easier to reach the first checkpoint... but you also get less dungeon levels to collect items/cash for the second run
- removing autoscum now makes ironman characters rely much more on drops... most levels will be generated as "uninteresting" (rating of 0) and won't have vaults or out of depth drops for easy cash
I'll post screenshots of the new towns as soon as I reach them ;)

Ironman is really fun to play with the new system. Now I need to fix the massive slowdown bug before releasing 1.1.5 for good. This bug simply make the game unplayable for now...
