Not quite ready.

Post by Crimson » Sun 01.06.2003, 06:50

No, It's not quite ready yet.  I'd hoped to get some final time in on it Friday evening and yesterday, but got pulled off on some other work related stuff... It should be shortly, I'll let you know.
Are you not entertained?
Is this not what you came here for?

What become of this? The current server runs 7.0.0 right? Did a new server not happen? This forum is kind of like a library full of books, all with the last chapter torn out :P

If you read around, you will see that there are a lot of duplicated posts. The answers are all given here to the best of our abilities, but typically only in response to one instance of the question.

The mangband.org server is special. It does not run 0.7.0 but a special unreleased blend of Crimson's own concocting, that reports itself as 0.7.0.

Crimson comes around to work on the game for a couple hours about once every five or six thousand years. He's getting pretty old these days, so take it easy on him. Being that old takes its toll on your speed and sanity. After his millions of years, he's gone insane enough to bypass the announcement and sharing stage entirely and just dream the code and results. Either that or he's waiting for the effects of too many stacked {tval=>80;sval=>4} to wear off.

Actually, he's supposedly been slowly working on it but never tells anyone of his workings outside of the game itself. This is not an ideal situation, but remember that it's a spare time deal and spare time is limited when you have a real job.
