My Dwarf Priest killed Morgoth this morning:
I used no consumables of any kind, just cast the spell Heal. All I did was stand next to him in a maze vault and auto-attack, with the occasional Heal cast. It was more spontaneous then anything, I hadn't even re-killed most of page 4 and 5 uniques. He only summoned one of the uniques 'W's, I forget who. Quite anti-climactic really, considering The Tarrasque was far scarier.

Hehe...The tarrasque isn't bad IF you know how to fight him; you need to double resist heat/cold, either by the potions, or the spell, or by activating a lordly resistance cloak.
As for your character, Nice job! One note though; you REALLY didn't need that much speed XD
You would have been stronger if you had used a damage ring instead of that speed ring. Your character stops moving much faster after +40, so you coulda just quaffed a speed pot. For more detales, look at spoilers here;

So I was semi-distracted on the phone and got killed on 6350 by a skull druj summoning time hounds on me, and not reacting quick enough. By dying I lost the king flag, but Morgoth didn't respawn, so now I can't wield Grond. Can I no longer retire, only suicide?

Just wait for another char to respawn Morgoth and kill him again... lol with the equipment you have you can fight 2 of them at the same time ;)

But the thing is, the game is set so that you can only kill morgoth once (he never revives from the dead).
He will never appear before Cheddar again.
You may be able to get him to appear by using another character, but, depending on how the code works for being a **king**, the action of adding morgoth to your unique list could be what makes you a king or something.
And dieing after killing morgoth removes the **king** flag.

As I said, just need to ask another player to generate morgy. The *king* status is regained automatically when you kill him.

My level 50 mage finally got a PDSM. Now I'll use him to train killing Morgoth... so it's your chance to reking when I'm looking for him.

Too late, but I got a priest at 5k that could generate Morgoth.
